According to our ancestors, we already used our orientation to guide us, making use of the different senses: sight, sound, touch (changes in the wind, cold, heat…).
Those who most used their senses in this regard were inhabitants of the North Pole and the deserts. But orientation is necessary for everyone, from these people, to the people living in large cities and small towns, to children when they’re young, to animals who are attracted to lights, to those that migrate south because of the weather….
It is an essential element for our lives in which we use a wide range of resources. In orienteering races, in addition to using a map and compass, participants also use strength, speed or endurance, psychology, and other psychological and physical elements to complete the race and find the control points.
The goal is to find all the control points on the map in the shortest time possible.
What to bring:

Thanks to its proximity to the River Segre, the Rialb reservoir and the Pre-Pyrenees Mountains, L'Era is the ideal place to stay for large groups. Equipped with every possible comfort, it is perfect for regaining strength after a day full of experiences and activities.
LA TORRA DE RIALB
The hostel lures us in with the large recreational area surrounding it – metres and metres of green grass between rows of trees which, depending on the time of year, is adorned with a carpet of multicolour flowers.
MAS DE FORTET
The perfect place to stay is Mas de Fortet, where you will discover a country house typical of inland Costa Daurada which also offers fully-equipped bungalows, allowing you to spend an incomparable night in the Sierra de Prades-Montsant.
SOLANA DE SEGRE
The Solana de Segre campsite is the perfect place for groups that want plenty of space to carry out activities and at the same time continue to enjoy all the mods and cons offered by the bungalows. At the heart of La Cerdanya, it is the best accommodation for doing our activities in the Pyrenees.
